Good morning Neighbourhood Watch Members
I hope you are well; It’s Friday and the end of the week!
AGM Right, lets get this email started with the most important date of the week, the AGM. I can report it was a great success, there was a great turnout, Hugh gave a great presentation explain the previous years and what we have planned for the future, we had great talks from Hayley, The Senior Neighbourhood Warden and Hannah from Trading Standards and most importantly, it was great to meet you all. Hopefully, as Hugh said, our communication with everyone is going to get even better in the next year so I look forward to chatting more with everyone.
Coordinators We have some amazing coordinators in Merton that do a fantastic job, without you NHW wouldn’t run as smoothly, we also have a lot of new coordinators and people who have taken over. For that reason, I have attached the national outlines for a coordinator if you are unsure. Have a read, also for some of you may be thinking about being a coordinator who might be unsure what it entails, it will also be worth reading.
Neighbourhood Wardens After a fantastic talk from Hayley, I thought it would be helpful to add how to contact the wardens. Please see the attachment with all the details. Working with them in the office, I can guarantee they really are very friendly and approachable if you need anything or are unsure. They are also a really dedicated team and will help with any problems they can.
IDAHOBIT 26 For anyone that reads this email early enough, Merton Council will be outside the Civic Centre today at 11am celebrating and raising the flag for The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT) is a global moment of solidarity and collective action for LGBTQIA+ communities. If you want to come along and support, you will be most welcome.
Right, that’s enough from me! I hope you have a fantastic weekend and the sun decides to make an appearance. Whatever you’re doing, I hope you enjoy it.
Many thanks
Mark Robinson
